BMF ALL-INDUSTRY CONFERENCE 2017 APP
Download the event app for the conference by searching for ‘BMF All-Industry Conf 2017’ in your Google Play or App Store. Follow the normal app download procedure, ensuring you accept push notifications to your device. If you have a windows phone you can access the app via the following web address: https://bmfconf2017.quickmobileplatform.eu

CLIMATE
The average temperature in June is 16°C. Although the weather is usually pleasant during the day, the evenings can be quite chilly so make sure you bring some warm clothes.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
If any dietary requirements have been made known to us in advance we will have advised each restaurant in advance.

PASSPORT / VISA
A full British passport with at least 3 months beyond the date of departure is required for visitors to Hungary.

INSURANCE
Personal insurance is not included in the trip. Please ensure that you have sufficient cover and that you bring your personal travel insurance documents in case of emergency.

CURRENCY
The unit of currency in Hungary is the Forint (Ft, HUF). The current rate is £1 = 357.058 HUF. We suggest that you obtain some local currency prior to arrival.

ELECTRICITY
220 V, 50 Hz voltage with continental two-pin plugs.

GRATUITIES
10% tips are expected by waiters and drivers in Hungary. Public washroom attendants would expect 100-200 HUF for the use of these facilities. Gratuities for all meals organised in advance have been taken care of.

HOTEL EXPENSES
Personal expenses outside of the organised itinerary need to be met by guests. You will be asked for credit card details on arrival for any room expenses.

LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE
The total allowance per person is 23kg. In addition to this you are allowed one piece of carry-on luggage.

LANGUAGE
The official language is Hungarian. However, English is widely spoken.

MEDICAL FACILITIES
If you are unwell and need to see a doctor, please contact either the hotel reception, a member of the event team or a member of the BMF team.

SMOKING
Due to changes in the law in 2012, smoking is prohibited in all indoor establishments and it’s taken very seriously. Smoking is allowed in outdoor areas such as terraces, beer gardens and such.

TELEPHONE CALLS
If you wish to telephone the UK, please note the international dialling code is 00. The country code for the UK is 44 and the first 0 of the UK dialling should be omitted.

TIME ZONE
Hungary is one hour ahead of the UK.

VALUABLES
We recommend that money and valuables be placed in the safes available in the hotel rooms. As any big city, we recommend that care is taken over your belongings whilst out and about.

WATER
Tap water in Hungary is safe to drink and bottled water is readily available.
